Robert “Bob” Joseph Bergman,

Age 66, of St. Rt. 47, Houston, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday evening, April 10, 2025, at the Wilson Health Hospital ER in Sidney, Ohio.  He was born May 3, 1958, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Cyril J. & Anna Mae (Hunter) Bergman.  Surviving are three children: Justin & Brenda Bergman of Anna, Phil Bergman & fiancé, Madison Watson of Washington, NC, and Cory Bergman of Kettlersville; three grandchildren, Blake, Carter and Reagan Bergman as well as two siblings, Karen & Steve Seger of Houston and Mark Bergman of Sidney.

Mr. Bergman was a 1976 graduate of Russia High School and had been a life-long member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  He was owner and operator of Bob’s Cycle Repair, Inc., of Sidney (2 years) / Houston (40 years), since its founding in 1982.  Years ago, he also worked with his dad at Cyril J. Bergman Builders.  Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and domino game nights.  He also enjoyed intense offroad riding, shenanigans of the Canalmen’s Motor Cycle Club, and was proud of being able to visit almost all 50 states.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Newport with Rev. Andrew Reckers presiding.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  Family and friends may call Monday, April 21, 2025, 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday April 22, 2025, 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.  Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or charities of choice.  Private condolences may be expressed at the gehretfuneralhome.com website.
