Nancy Elaine Hoying,

Age 55, of S. Frankfort Street, Minster, passed away of natural causes early Friday morning, January 19, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio.  On November 19, 1968, in St. Marys, Ohio, Nancy was born to the late John “Edward” Hoying & Patricia (Weaver) Hoying Griner.  She is survived by her step father, Rolland Griner of Kennesaw, GA; two brothers, Steve & Catherine Hoying of Anna, Glen & Violet Hoying of Roopville, GA, and several step siblings: Rolland Griner Jr. & Brandon Brooks of Tampa, FL, Valerie & Rick Highers of Woodstock, GA, Cynthia Griner of Vacaville, CA, Rachel Griner of Vacaville, CA, Theresa & Billy Vance of Concord, NC and JoAnn & Donna Griner of Tampa, FL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.  She was preceded in death by both parents.

Nancy was a 1987 Graduate of Fort Loramie High School.  She had primarily been a freelance custodian and worked at several commercial facilities such as Dannon of Minster, Vancrest of St. Marys and Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.  She was a past member of the former St. Patrick Church in St. Patrick and St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie.  Over the years, she also attended various non-denominational churches.  Nancy enjoyed visiting garage sales, working with animals and had a knack for taming wild pets.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.  Family and friends may call Friday from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Gehret Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, the American Cancer Society or charities of choice.  Private condolences may be expressed at gehretfuneralhome.com.
