Kevin Joseph Dershem,
Age 57, of West Main Street in Fort Loramie, Ohio, passed away of natural causes at his residence, Friday afternoon, February 28, 2025. He was born September 21, 1967, in Monroe, Michigan. Kevin is survived by one son, Kyle & Cahlina Dershem of Jackson Center; three grandsons, Knox, Jax and Dex Dershem; two siblings, Mark Dershem of Fort Loramie and Shelley Hughes of Piqua; two nephews, Travis Trough and Michael Hughes along with a close friend of the family, Connie Burger of Minster and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Agnes (Paulus) Dershem.
Mr. Dershem was a 1986 graduate of the Upper Valley JVS in Piqua where he studied Agra Business. He had also attended Monroe High School in Monroe, MI. Kevin was primarily a freelance landscaper, operating as Young Bull Landscaping. Over the years, he also worked for the Brick Barn and Weigandt landscaping companies.
Kevin kept himself busy outside as much as possible. He especially enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping. He was also an avid motor sports and tractor pull fan. He attended many events at Eldora, Fort Recovery and Bowling Green Raceway.
A memorial blessing service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Deacon Philip Myers presiding. Family and friends may call Saturday, from 9:30 AM until the hour of services. Interment at Highland Cemetery in Covington will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to charities of choice. Private condolences may be expressed at the gehretfuneralhome.com website.
