Christopher Thomas Shrieves,
Age 38, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence on October 15, 2024. He was born May 27, 1986, in Lansing, Michigan to Robin (Warnez) Shrieves of Fort Loramie and Mark Shrieves of Huber Heights. Also surviving is one brother, Jeremy Shrieves of Huber Heights; his grandmother, Barbara Lafferty of Michigan, aunts & uncles: Susan & Tom Patizer of Harrison Township, MI, Kathy Warnez of Illinois, Sharrie (Shrieves) Smith of Louisiana and Douglas Shrieves along with several cousins Elizabeth McGee, Robert Atkins, Stephany Rosik, Patrick Patizer, Shelby Preston and Chelsea Jaques as well as a friend of the family, Francis Marchal of Fort Loramie. He was preceded in death by grandparents Carl Lafferty, Donald Warnez, Douglas & Joyce Shrieves and one uncle Steven Michael Warnez.
Mr. Shrieves was a 2004 graduate of Wayne High School in Huber Heights where he had been active in the National Honor Society and the Warrior soccer program. Chris then went on to Miami University in Oxford where he studied pre-law and pre-med. He was employed at the Target store in Huber Heights. Over the years, he had also worked at Applebee’s Restaurant in Sidney, Brucken’s Neighborhood Pub and Casey’s General Store, both in Fort Loramie.
A dapper high energy gentleman, Chris “CT” attracted friends easily. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar. When visiting in Fort Loramie, he especially enjoyed driving farm tractors and pampering Ginger, the rat terrier.
A memorial blessing to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding. Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the hour of services. Memorials may be made to charities of choice. Private condolences may be expressed at the gehretfuneralhome.com website.
